Sam Houlihan is a Tony Award–winning producer and theatrical entrepreneur working across Broadway, the United Kingdom, and international touring. Raised in Vermont, he approaches producing with a focus on collaboration, clarity, and projects that balance artistic ambition with audience accessibility.

His Broadway producing credits include Merrily We Roll Along, Thornton Wilder’s Our Town, Gutenberg! The Musical!, and the ongoing Hell’s Kitchen, produced in partnership with Score3 Partners. Additional credits include the off-Broadway production of Prince Faggot and DATA at the Lucille Lortel Theatre.

In the United Kingdom and on tour, Houlihan has produced The Talented Mr. Ripley (UK tour), Glorious! (UK tour), Allegra (UK tour), Little Shop of Horrors (UK), The Frogs at Southwark Playhouse, and the UK premiere of The Jonathan Larson Project. His work abroad reflects an ongoing interest in bringing contemporary and classic storytelling to new audiences.

Earlier in his career, Houlihan held roles at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Stone Productions, the Williamstown Theatre Festival, and on Kimberly Akimbo, developing a practical foundation across production, management, and creative support.

Houlihan is a partner at SAMS Entertainment and serves as Business Manager for SJB Production Services. He holds a B.F.A. in Theatre Production & Design from Ithaca College and continues to focus on developing projects that are artistically rigorous, operationally sound, and built for longevity.
